Living Lines Dance Center offers classes in Tap, Ballet, Jazz,
Acrobatics, Hip-Hop, Pilates, Yoga, and Zumba.
The core of all dance technique, ballet teaches you basics which are necessary to properly perform all forms of dance: balance, coordination, and strength. Ballet instills a posture and grace that stay with you for a lifetime.
Weekly one-hour class in which one half hour of each is taught. This is great for beginners of all ages, because it gives them a taste of both dance forms.
Tap is an art form of making music with your feet. Hear yourself progress as you learn challenging rhythm combinations. You are never too young or old to learn. Tap is also making a comeback in many Junior and Senior High School Musical Theater productions.
Jazz dance takes its foundation from traditional ballet and rebells against it. Rhythmic, sweeping, stylistic, movement with attitude—jazz expands a dancer's technique with a focus on isolations of the body, performance quality, and moving through complex rhythms and patterns.
This isn't your ordinary jazz class! Girls, and you boys too... give these street style moves a try.
Increase your flexibility and strength while learning fun acrobatic stunts. These include many of the floor exercises of gymnastics, cartwheels, walkovers, front and back rolls, headstands, handstands, etc. etc. etc.
Learn the basics of the Pilates technique from a certified Pilates instructor. Pilates increases flexibility and strengthens the core muscles which are most instumental in supporting your skeletal alignment.
Leave your stress at the door. Yoga not only tones your body, but your mind as well. Opens the hips, increases flexibility in the spine, and increases breath. Yoga is an investment in your health, great for everyone.
Sharpen your skills by samplng some of the many diverse modern dance techniques. In modern you learn to move from the inside out and learn what wonderful tools the floor, gravity, and your abs can be.
